Hailed by <em data-start=\"302\" data-end=\"316\">The Guardian<\/em> as a \u201ccrossover star\u201d and awarded by Jazz FM for Breakthrough of the Year and Album of the Year (<em data-start=\"414\" data-end=\"422\">Yellow<\/em>, 2022), she now comes to Warsaw with her latest material.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"897\"><em data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"492\">Weirdo<\/em> \u2013 her second album, released by Brownswood Recordings and Parlophone \u2013 is a kaleidoscope of grunge, funk, soul, jazz and pop, impossible to pigeonhole. It\u2019s a story of loss, neurodivergence and the acceptance of being \u201cdifferent.\u201d Emma-Jean composed, performed, recorded and mixed every note herself \u2013 turning her home isolation in South London into a musical laboratory and a form of personal therapy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"899\" data-end=\"1200\">With her signature honesty, perspective and humor, she takes us on an emotional journey full of anthemic choruses, introspection and uncompromising groove. Emma-Jean Thackray is the voice of a generation of outsiders.
