We are thrilled to announce two performances by an artist who is redefining the boundaries of contemporary music. Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah is not only an exceptional musician but also a visionary, and his presence at Jassmine is a truly special event for us.

Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah (formerly known as Christian Scott) is a six-time Grammy nominee and two-time Edison Award winner – a trumpeter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and innovator of instruments (including the Adjuah Trumpet, Siren, and N’Goni) as well as the creator of Stretch Music, a concept of music free from genre boundaries.

His sound is a fusion of jazz, hip-hop, electronics, African and Caribbean rhythms – organic, deeply emotional, and rooted in cultural identity. Chief is also a spiritual leader – Grand Griot of New Orleans and chief of the Xodokan Nation.

He comes from a legendary New Orleans family – the grandson of Big Chief Donald Harrison Sr. and nephew of saxophonist Donald Harrison Jr. He has collaborated with artists such as Prince, Thom Yorke, Robert Glasper, Mos Def, Saul Williams, and McCoy Tyner.

Recognized by DownBeat and Jazz FM, recipient of the Doris Duke Award, featured on film soundtracks and in campaigns for brands like GAP and BMW. Actively involved in social and educational initiatives – he inspires not only through sound, but through action.
