JAZZ PO POLSKU: Late Night Poems
As part of the JAZZ PO POLSKU “Warsaw Live Sessions” project, a new series of original concerts will feature leading artists of the Polish jazz scene as well as international guests.
Late Night Poems is a more poetic expression of Bartłomiej “Eskaubei” Skubisz’s work, blending acoustic jazz with spoken word in a “jazz & poetry” format. The band features some of Poland’s top jazz musicians: Piotr Lemańczyk, Marek Konarski, Michał Szkil, and Dawid Fortuna. They released the highly acclaimed album Ostatni Dzień Lata on vinyl via U Know Me Records (2022), which also drew attention internationally.
In 2025, Late Night Poems will promote a brand-new album, to be released on vinyl by the rapidly growing label U Jazz Me, showcasing the freshest trends on the Polish jazz-adjacent scene.
The second album by Late Night Poems, featuring original music by Piotr Lemańczyk, Michał Szkil, Marek Konarski, and Dawid Fortuna with lyrics by Bartłomiej “Eskaubei” Skubisz, fuses music and words into a single energetic flow, performed in the welcoming halls of the legendary Jazz Club Pod Filarami. The freedom of collective creation, in the spirit of Wayne Shorter’s musical philosophy, meets the mature, individual voice of each instrumentalist and lyrics where sincerity and emotion triumph over calculation and polish.
After the well-received domestic and international response to Ostatni Dzień Lata (U Know Me Records), the band returns with material recorded in a format that has no equivalent on the Polish music scene.
