Silhouettes: A Dream Sphere Journal is a poignant exploration of disability, decolonial practice, and artistic expression by Jonathan Enser (Nubiyan Twist).

Silhouettes: A Dream Sphere Journal is a moving exploration of disability, decolonial practice, and artistic expression by Jonathan Enser (Nubiyan Twist). The EP blends his personal journey through chronic pain and impending amputation with a broader narrative about resilience and liberation. Drawing from Afro-diasporic influences, improvisation, rap, classical music, and experimental sounds, the album challenges the social limitations of freedom.

A resident at Total Refreshment Centre in East London, Enser created Silhouettes as both a catharsis and a manifesto for a decolonial vision of the world. He has collaborated with icons such as Nile Rodgers, Mulatu Astatke, and Tony Allen, and for this EP, he invited musicians from bands like Nerija, Nala Sinephro, and Nubya García.

The album also features Onipa (Kweku Sackey and Tom Excell), Cuban vocalist and percussionist Flavio Correa, and NEONE the Wonderer. Each track explores themes of limitation and freedom, encouraging reflection on healing, strength, and reclaiming cultural identity.
