At Jassmine, we’ve always had a heart for Brazilian music — and as one of the few, we consistently strive to keep the sounds of Rio and São Paulo a permanent part of our space. That’s why we’re thrilled to invite you to a special evening with one of the most exciting artists of the contemporary MPB scene — Rogê.
Nominated for a Latin Grammy, author of seven solo albums and collaborator with legends like Arlindo Cruz and Seu Jorge, Rogê is the voice of a new generation of Brazilian popular music. His latest album, “CURYMAN,” recorded in Los Angeles with Arthur Verocai and a producer known for working with Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga, is a tribute to samba – a joyful, energetic manifesto of resilience, hope, and life.
This is music that, despite being sung entirely in Portuguese, speaks a universal language — through rhythm, melancholy, warmth, and funk. As The Guardian writes, “the Rio samba star reaches an international audience at last.”
