Tivon Pennicott
A special evening with one of the most distinctive saxophonists of the New York jazz scene. Tivon Pennicott – a three-time GRAMMY Award winner, known for his collaborations with Gregory Porter, Esperanza Spalding, and Jon Batiste – will perform at Jassmine for the first time.
On our stage, he will present material from his latest album Roots to Branches (Dox Records, 2024) – a spiritual and energetic project inspired by the artist’s Jamaican roots. Pennicott blends jazz with groove, soul, and experimentation.
His playing reflects influences of gospel music, improvisation, and deep harmony – all delivered with the ease and openness that have captivated audiences at Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, and the Royal Albert Hall.
