Kuba Więcek presents Jazz Cats plays John Coltrane
The beloved Jazz Cats series by Kuba Więcek has taken on a new form, dedicated to the great figures and phenomena of jazz. We invite you on a journey through the history of the genre, showcasing not only exceptional talents but also influential moments and events that have shaped this world.
The next featured artist in the Jazz Cats series will be John Coltrane – an American jazz saxophonist and composer, commonly known as one of the greatest musicians in jazz history. He gained fame through collaborations with legends such as Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk, and later developed his own revolutionary style of playing and composing. His 1965 album A Love Supreme is considered a spiritual masterpiece and one of the most important works in jazz music. Coltrane was a pioneer of modal jazz and free jazz, constantly seeking new forms of artistic expression. Although he passed away in 1967, his work and influence on the development of improvised music remain vibrantly alive.
